Job summary

Rod and Tubing Services LLC seeks a general laborer to support delivery of services in a harsh oilfield environment. The role requires attention to safety, accurate tagging, and teamwork.

You will perform cleaning, inventory coordination, and documentation, while maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to PPE requirements. This is a full-time, non-exempt position in Texas with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Similar oil production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tag work to maintain operation flow.
• Inspect parts and tools for proper calibration.
• Request tools, parts and supplies to maintain flow and inventory.
• Track production and calibration on forms.
• Clean using detergent baths, degreasing, grit blasting, wire brushing.
• Place finished goods on the designated rack.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical/leaking/material issues promptly.
• Coordinate repair/assembly with Inspection Manager.
• Evaluate self-work against work instructions and standards.
• Log completed work and prepare documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area reflecting company image.
• PPE must be inspected and worn; attend PPE training.
• Maintain neat appearance reflecting a positive image.
• All duties as assigned.

Summary/Objective

The general laborer position performs all tasks involved in the delivery of the company’s services. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure services are as efficient and safe as possible.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

• Accurately tagging work to maintain operation flow.
• Inspecting parts and tools routinely for proper calibration.
• Request tools, parts and supplies in a timely fashion, as necessary, to maintain operational flow and inventory counts.
• Accurately track production and calibration on correct forms.
• Perform cleaning operations using detergent baths, degreasing, grit blasting, wire brushing, etc.
• Place finished goods on the designated rack.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical, leaking or material issues in a timely fashion.
• Coordinate and expedite repair/assembly operations with Inspection Manager.
• Evaluate self-work to ensure compliance with work instructions and standards.
• Log completed work and prepare necessary documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
• All personal protective equipment (PPE) must be inspected by the employee and worn upon direction of supervisors, managers, and the safety manager. Participate in mandatory safety or PPE training and notify their supervisor when new PPE is necessary.
• Maintain a clean, neat and groomed personal appearance to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
• All duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Abilities

• Physical stature must be such that the individual can operate a machine eight (8) to twelve (12) hours per day.
• No reoccurring physical problems that could be aggravated by this type of work.

Position Type/Work Schedule

• This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position, and the days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and/or holidays may be scheduled. Employee may be scheduled to work overtime and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
