What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a dependable General Laborer to join our construction team. The General Laborer assists with various tasks on construction sites, providing support to skilled tradesmen and helping ensure that projects progress efficiently. This position works under the direction of the site supervisor or foreman and plays an important role in maintaining safety, organization, and productivity on the job site.

Laborer
- General Site Labor: Assist with basic construction tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials and tools on-site.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare the job site, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring the area is organized and safe.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and store construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist in organizing supplies and ensuring materials are readily available for workers.
- Support Skilled Trades: Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradesmen by holding tools, mixing materials, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
- Tool Operation: Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment, such as drills, saws, and hammers, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
- Site Maintenance: Ensure that the worksite is free of hazards and is organized throughout the duration of the project.
- Assist with Demolition and Construction Work: Support demolition activities when required, including breaking concrete, removing old structures, and assisting in new construction tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the project team and communicate clearly with supervisors to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- General Labor Support: Perform other general labor duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman to ensure smooth operations on the job site.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
Construction sites present a physically demanding and potentially hazardous work environment, characterized by outdoor work, exposure to various weather conditions, and potential for accidents and injuries. Workers are often exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and other environmental hazards.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb and squat for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and tools (up to 75 pounds).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and on construction sites with varying environments.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is full-time. Employee is expected to work 40 hours per work week. Events may occur during evenings and weekends.
Travel
Travel is required to jobsites.
Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience as a construction laborer or in a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety regulations.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus.
