Job summary

Haren Construction Company, Inc. in Andrews, North Carolina is seeking a Laborer for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade & Modernization project. You will assist with shovel work, pipework, framing, finish work, formwork, concrete tasks, and general labor under supervision.

Outdoor work in varied conditions, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and compliance with safety policies are required; six months of commercial construction experience is preferred.

Job description

Project Title: Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade & Modernization

Location: Andrews, North Carolina

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

Pay Range: $19+/hr based on experience

Company Overview:

Haren Construction Company, Inc. specializes in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and commercial and industrial types of construction. The laborer will work on multiple tasks throughout the day and have various skill sets as necessary. The laborer will receive assignments from the supervisor and must be able to perform tasks without close supervision.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist the team with the shovel work, pipework, framing, finish work, formwork, concrete work, cleanup, and any miscellaneous labor needs.
• Frequently use various hand and power tools used in commercial construction such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and various equipment and instruments.
• Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position involves strenuous physical activity for long periods under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 80 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull. May be required to work at elevated heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least six months of commercial construction experience.
• Prior concrete experience: forming, pouring, and/or finishing
