Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing is seeking General Labor for a temporary project in the Ashland/Rockville area. The role involves assembling boxes, applying weights and labels, and operating conveyor lines to confirm functionality in a light industrial setting.

Positions run 6–8 weeks. 1st shift is 8am–6pm at $17/hour with a $1 shift differential for weekend work; 2nd shift is 6:30pm–4:30am at $18/hour with a $1 weekend differential.

Qualifications

• General laborers must have a clean background and be local workers.
• Experience operating basic conveyor systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes and package items.
• Apply weights and labels to products.
• Run materials through conveyor systems to verify functionality.
• Clean and prepare work areas.

Location: Ashland VA
Pay: 1st Shift $17, $1 shift differential for working Saturday & Sunday
2nd Shift $18, $1 shift differential for working Saturday $ Sunday
Duration: 6 - 8 weeks
Shifts: 1st Shift 8am - 6pm
2nd Shift 630pm - 430am
*Plant operates 7 days a week. Everyone will get 4 days off in a row, but it will be randomized what your two days are, BUT THEY WILL BE TOGETHER.
General laborers are local workers subcontracted based on the specific requirements of each project and job site location. Work teams are structured according to assigned duties within a defined timeframe. Laborers report directly to the Floor Leader and are supervised by the Project Manager.
