Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-to-mid level production operator to ensure safe operation of food manufacturing equipment and accurate formula handling. You will meet daily production goals and maintain product quality while completing required paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include training teammates, following GMPs/CCPs/QCPs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. This role supports continuous improvement and adheres to safety practices across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read and write English to an 8th grade level.
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work a flexible/off shift schedule.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work from heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment within a designated area and meet daily production goals.
• Ensure product quality and adjust equipment as necessary.
• Verify weights and formulas are accurate; complete required paperwork.
• Follow GMPs, CCPs and QCPs at all times.
• Report food safety or maintenance concerns to team leaders promptly.
• Train and instruct other team members on proper operation of equipment.
• Adhere to all safe work practices and rules.

What You'll be Doing:

• Operate specific equipment within a designated area.

• Responsible for product quality and makes adjustments to equipment as necessary
• Ensure weights and formulas are accurate
• Proper completion of required paperwork
• Follow GMP's, CCP's and QCP's at all times
• Immediately report food safety and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate team leaders
• Train and Instruct other team members how to properly operate equipment
• Must adhere to all safe work practices and rules
