UFP Industries is seeking a General Labor team member in Michigan to safely handle products and verify material meets customer requirements. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include moving and securing materials, labeling and tagging, stacking per bundle sizes, recording production, and supporting multiple areas as needed. No advanced experience required, but reliability and basic math helps. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure products and materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
• Applies individual tags to material before/after production
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required
