Job summary

American NTN Bearing Manufacturing in Elgin, IL is seeking a General Labor-Production associate to support safe, efficient manufacturing. You will handle line loading, repacking, visual inspection, and sorting to ensure quality parts move through the process.

Starting wage is $16.00 per hour with $2.50 2nd shift and $3.00 third shift differentials; actual pay depends on experience and location. The role requires following safety rules and performing 5S tasks on the shop floor.

• Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
• Load parts from the basket to machine conveyor.
• Remove finished parts from the machines, inspect as necessary and pack properly.
• Visually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.

Job Title: General Labor-Production

Summary

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring parts are moved though the production process efficiently and checked for quality. This includes:

• Line loading
• Repacking
• Visual Inspection
• Sorting

Starting Wage: $16.00

We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.50 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Work Environment

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
• Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
• Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek. Over time may be required.
• The pace of work is steady and fast.
• Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
