Job summary

Star of the West in Vermontville, MI is seeking a dependable, full-time grain and fertilizer handler to support multiple locations within the Vermontville/Potterville area.

You will unload trucks, operate drying and conditioning equipment, assist with storage and inventory, and safely load fertilizer products while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Dependability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in grain or fertilizer handling preferred.
• Comfort with outdoor work and variable weather.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team in a full-time grain and fertilizer handling position serving multiple locations throughout the Vermontville/Potterville area.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Dump and unload grain trucks
• Operate grain drying and conditioning equipment
• Assist with grain storage, handling, and inventory
• Load fertilizer products safely and efficiently
• Mix and prepare custom fertilizer blends to meet customer needs
• Operate equipment and perform general facility and material-handling duties
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Work at multiple locations as needed
• Previous grain, fertilizer, agriculture, or equipment-handling experience preferred
• Dependable and willing to work as part of a team
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical material-handling duties
• Willingness to learn and operate grain and fertilizer equipment
• Strong attention to safety
