Job Title: General Labor – Fabrication Shop

Job Summary

Mitchell Equipment Corporation is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to join our assembly team. This position supports a variety of shop activities including parts painting, mechanical assembly, and clean machines in the machine shop. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic shop environment and willing to take on a range of tasks as needed. Training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate basic machinery such as spray painting with spry guns, drill presses, band saws, and grinders
• Assemble Hydraulic Hoses
• Assembly Hydraulic Fittings on valves
• Assist fabricators and machinists with general shop tasks
• Load and unload materials using carts, dollies, or forklifts (if certified)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fabrication or machine shop preferred, but not required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate shop toolsWillingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Fork Lift Operator

Work Environment

• Indoor fabrication shop environment with steel, machinery, and power tools
