Job summary

Greif is seeking a General Labor II in La Porte, TX to support manufacturing operations. The role involves cleaning, lubrication, equipment setup, loading/unloading, and routine quality checks on products.

You will follow directions, work across tasks, and maintain a safe workspace in a fast-paced plant environment. Typical duties include following safety guidelines and performing any other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Routinely clean and lubricate equipment and keep the area free of debris.
• Operate machinery and load/unload items as directed.

• Conduct routine quality checks on finished products.
• Report issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Routinely clean and lubricate equipment, maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, ready or put away tools as assigned.
• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
• Performs routine property care activities.
• Performs any non-technical routine tasks at the plant.
• Routine quality checks on finished products.
• Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $20.50 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
