Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a General Labor Associate for a busy distribution center in Sycamore, IL. The role includes shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and material handling on a 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm).

Responsibilities include picking orders, operating barcode scanners, loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and complying with safety and quality procedures. Prior warehouse experience is helpful; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Location: Sycamore, IL

Express Employment Professionals is looking for dependable General Labor Associates to join a busy distribution center on 1st shift. This is a hands-on position involving shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, material handling, and general warehouse duties.

Job Duties:

• Process customer orders and prepare products for shipment.
• Use barcode scanners and other warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Receive incoming inventory and verify quantities.
• Move, organize, and stock materials throughout the facility.
• Package shipments using shrink wrap, banding, and proper stacking techniques.
• Operate pallet jacks and powered industrial equipment as needed.
• Assist with shipping paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and follow work instructions.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily productivity and shipping goals.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and lifting.

• Ability to push and pull materials and operate warehouse equipment.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and odors.
