Job summary

Welch Packaging Group in Wooster, OH, seeks a production worker to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, following safety procedures, quality processes and hitting targeted build rates to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include assembling, stacking, wrapping, stapling, gluing, labeling and taping boxes; maintaining housekeeping; working as a team; lifting up to 50 pounds and standing 8-10 hours daily, while communicating clearly and applying analytical thinking to improve

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Ability to work safely and follow safety processes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow proper safety procedures and processes.
  • Ensure the product is built to spec and 100% accurate.
  • Maintain high productivity for on-time delivery to customers.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards of the plant.
  • Work as a team with all facility members.
  • Assemble, stack, wrap, staple, glue, label and tape boxes.

SHIFTS:

1st Shift - Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM

2nd Shift - Monday-Friday 3:00PM-11:00PM ($2.00 shift differential)

3rd Shift - Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM-7:00AM ($2.00 shift differential)

SUMMARY

Work in a production environment following all safety procedures, quality processes and hitting our targeted build rates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Follow proper safety procedures and processes
  • Responsible for ensuring the product being built is built to spec and 100% accurate
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest level of productivity to ensure 100% on time delivery to our customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining the housekeeping standards of the plant
  • Responsible for working as a team with all team members of the facility.
  • Day to day responsibilities may include some or all of the following assembling, stacking, wrapping, stapling, gluing, stickering, and taping boxes.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • 1+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Ability to work safely adhering to all safety processes and policies.
