Job summary

Welch Packaging Group Inc in Grand Rapids is seeking a production worker to join our manufacturing team. You will operate in a fast-paced setting, ensuring every item is built to spec while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to work with others, and willingness to perform tasks such as assembling, stacking, wrapping, stapling, gluing, stickering, and taping boxes in a 5am - 1:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to work safely adhering to all safety processes and policies.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper safety procedures and processes.
• Ensure the product being built is to spec and 100% accurate.
• Maintain the highest level of productivity to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards of the plant.
• Work as a team with all team members of the facility.
• Assemble, stack, wrap, staple, glue, sticker, and tape boxes.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

5am - 1:30pm

SUMMARY

Work in a production environment following all safety procedures, quality processes and hitting our targeted build rates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow proper safety procedures and processes
• Responsible for ensuring the product being built is built to spec and 100% accurate
• Responsible for maintaining the highest level of productivity to ensure 100% on time delivery to our customers.
• Responsible for maintaining the housekeeping standards of the plant
• Responsible for working as a team with all team members of the facility.
• Day to day responsibilities may include some or all of the following assembling, stacking, wrapping, stapling, gluing, stickering, and taping boxes.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 1+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to work safely adhering to all safety processes and policies.
