Job summary

Valmont Industries in New Jersey is hiring General Shop Help in our Global Coatings Division. You will prepare products for the galvanizing process, stage tubular items, and assist in finishing while maintaining a safe work environment.

This full-time, on-site role requires basic reading skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with hand tools. Prior galvanizing experience is helpful, and we emphasize safety and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and maintain safety.
• Six months of experience in galvanizing or related processes preferred.
• Must have high awareness for safety.

Responsibilities

• Work in the racking department preparing products for galvanizing.
• Stage tubular products and hang on spreader bars.
• Prepare small parts for galvanizing and move materials safely.
• Assist in finishing and cleanup, including debris removal.
• Operate in kettle area using tools to support galvanizing processes.
