RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
2. Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
3. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
4. Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
5. Other duties as assigned.
6. May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Graduate or GED.
2. Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
3. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
4. Must be willing to work the first and second shift.
5. Must have a good attendance record.
6. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
2. Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
2. Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
5. Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.
6. Strong verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
