Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a dedicated overnight manufacturing associate in New York to support production, assist all plant floor tasks, and help reduce downtime. You will follow safety rules, operate with 5S standards, and work with a team to keep the line running smoothly during 11pm–7am shift.

Candidates should pass background checks and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in manufacturing and willingness to work overtime, including some Saturdays, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Overtime up to 12 hours per day and some Saturdays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout shift.
• One year manufacturing experience required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Good attendance record.
• Must read/write basic English.
• Sit, stoop, and bend ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May be required to stack parts and lift product up to 50 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

This role is for the overnight shift 11pm-7am.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Ability to pass Pre-employment Background Check and Drug Test.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work overtime up to 12 hours per day and multiple Saturdays per year.
• Must be able to Sit, Stoop, and Bend.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be able to read and write basic English instructions.
• Must demonstrate 6+ months of continuous previous employment.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout shift.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a packaging is preferred.
• Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
• Forklift and/or Clamp truck experience.
