Job summary

Lamb Weston Twin Falls plant is seeking a Production Hourly worker who breaks down totes, stacks cases, and assists cold room staff on A Shift. You will handle totes, monitor equipment, and support safety and quality practices in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires forklift experience, basic math, data entry and MS Office proficiency, with physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure noisy, variable temperatures in a plant setting.

Qualifications

• English communication in writing and speaking
• Experience driving forklift in warehouse/manufacturing
• Must meet certification requirements and be qualified in time frames set by the facility
• Basic math and data entry skills; proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Build, fill, stage, and cap totes in the cold room
• Report safety, quality, and sanitation issues
• Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area
• Ensure Case Erector staging area is full
• Operate controls to dump totes into hoppers
• Participate in safety huddles
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description Summary

This position breaks down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacks cases on the pallets according to customer specifications, and assists the cold room personnel with breaks and lunches. Position is for days on A Shift.

Job Description

• Builds, fills, stages, and caps totes in the cold room.
• Reports on any safety, quality, and sanitation regulation issues.
• Inspects materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
• Maintains good housekeeping of work area.
• Ensures Case Erector staging area is full at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Operates controls to dump totes of product into hoppers.
• Participates in safety huddles.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.

Skills And Experience

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).
• Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.
• Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Environment/Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basic
