Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a highly capable Repair Services Supervisor to lead a machine tool spindle repair facility. You will oversee service operations, mentor technicians, and coordinate with the Midwest Center to optimize workload and ensure high standards.

The role emphasizes bearing engineering know-how, problem solving, and strong communication to support sales with estimates and to deliver reliable repairs for customers.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing applications in high-speed rotating equipment.
• Experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all functions of service facility
• Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians as direct reports
• Coordinate with Midwest Service Center to balance workload and direct repairs efficiently
• Support Sales with guidance and technical expertise to answer questions and provide cost and schedule estimates
• Provide guidance on spindle failure causes and improvements
• Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports and determine repair costs
• Schedule and assign spindle repairs to technicians based on their proficiency
• Review Final Repair Reports to ensure standards and customer satisfaction

Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high speed rotating equipment is required. Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.

General Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct all functions of service facility
• Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians as direct reports
• Coordinate with Midwest Service Center to balance workload and direct repairs to the facility that can perform the repair most efficiently
• Support Sales with guidance and technical expertise to answer questions and provide cost and schedule estimates
• Provide guidance on spindle cause of failure and potential improvements
• Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports - Determine repair costs of both purchased components and repair labor to formulate quotes
• Schedule and assign spindle repairs to Repair Technicians in keeping with their experience and proficiency
• Review and evaluate Final Repair Reports and spindle repairs to ensure that all was completed to standards and spindle will perform for the customer

Qualifications:

Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high-speed rotating equipment is Highly Desired. Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.

Qualifications:

• Strong ethical / moral character and internally motivated
• A mechanical or electromechanical background of experience capable of performing engineering / calculations of rotating equipment machine elements
• Proficiency in super precision rolling element bearing engineering and application
• Experience in bearing and mechanical component failure analysis
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be well organized and committed to excellence
• A team player who is committed to customer service and adding value
