Job summary

US United States Fleet Forces Command seeks a highly skilled engineer with expertise in civil, mechanical, or industrial engineering to manage the planning, design, construction, and sustainment of shore infrastructure and ordnance facilities.

The role requires deep MILCON/FSRM program knowledge, facility planning experience, and proven leadership in engineering projects within the Federal sector or equivalent. A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory.

  • Experience and expert knowledge of professional engineering principles to manage design, construction, and sustainment of shore infrastructure and ordnance facilities.
  • In-depth understanding of MILCON and FSRM programs, including facility planning, prioritization, and funding strategies.
  • Experience in managing and leading engineering projects.

Job description

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience and expert-level knowledge of professional engineering principles (civil, mechanical, or industrial) to successfully manage the planning, design, construction, and sustainment of specialized shore infrastructure and ordnance facilities.
  • Experience and possess an in-depth understanding of military construction (MILCON) and Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) programs, including the associated facility planning processes, project prioritization, and funding acquisition strategies.
  • Experience in managing and leading engineering projects is essential.
  • Applicants MUST possess a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
