Job summary

Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Lakehurst, NJ seeks a General Engineer to lead NDI capabilities within the PMT Department. The role focuses on CT, DR, RT and mentoring junior engineers.

You will provide technical consultation to sponsors and contractors, coordinate with Air Systems Group and IPTs, and serve as the CT/NDI technical point of contact. This position emphasizes design, evaluation, and deployment of non-destructive inspection methods to support program

Responsibilities

• You will serve as a technical specialist for NDI, providing technical consultation to customers (e.g. sponsor, and other activities including contractors).
• You will act as a mentor and provide technical direction for junior engineers/technicians/specialists ensuring a high level of technical and analytical expertise continues to be maintained within the department.
• You will serve as the technical point of contact for X-Ray Computed Tomography. Regular and recurring interaction with Air Systems Group, Integrated Project Teams, and other NDI stakeholders.
• You will execute engineering projects involving the use of NDI, including Computed Tomography (CT), Digital Radiography (DR), and Radiographic Testing (RT).

You will serve as a General Engineer in the Prototype Manufacturing and Test (PMT) Department, Prototype Manufacturing Division, within the Advanced Manufacturing and Prototype Engineering (BL412) Branch of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
