Job summary

Cross Country Education in the Bronx, NY is seeking a General Education Teacher to serve 7th–12th graders across core subjects including PreCalc & Calculus, AP Literature, and 8th Grade ELA. You will design engaging, standards-aligned lessons that cultivate critical thinking, reading, and writing, and foster thoughtful discussion of history and social issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• NYC Teaching Certificate – preferred.
• Need a minimum of 12 credits in subject area if not certified; transcript may be requested.
• Teaching experience: 1–2 years in subject area; direct MS/HS teaching experience accepted.
• Urban teaching experience; proactive and eager to teach; team player.

Position Overview

• Provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in General Educationto 7th-12thgradestudents.

• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and a love of learning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to support student success and contribute to a strong school community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• NYC Teaching Certificate – PREFERRED
• Need a min of 12 Credits in subject area if not a certified Teacher – Will need to send transcript.
• Teaching experience: 1-2 years in subject area
  • If they do not have a teaching license We are looking for someone with direct experience teaching the subject area to MS/HS students.
