Job summary

NPACE in Maine is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our dermatology team in Rockport or Scarborough. This full-time role (4 days/week) focuses on general dermatology, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and patient-centered care in a physician-led environment.

You will evaluate and treat a broad range of skin conditions, perform routine dermatologic procedures, counsel on prevention, and collaborate with Dr. Lavigne and our MA scribes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active (or eligible for) Maine PA license to practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in general dermatology.
• Proficiency in general dermatologic procedures and lesion identification.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team on a full-time basis (4 days per week) at either our Rockport or Scarborough, Maine, clinic location. The ideal candidate will manage a general dermatology schedule, perform routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, physician-led environment.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and treating a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions, performing routine dermatologic procedures, counseling patients on preventative care, and collaborating with our owner, Dr. Lavigne, as well as our dedicated MA scribes and clinical team.

Licensure & Certification:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active (or eligible for) Physician Assistant license to practice in the State of Maine (or ability to obtain one).
Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in general dermatology preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in general dermatologic procedures and lesion identification.
Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to care.
