Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time or part-time General Dentist faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.

The successful candidate will be an engaging educator and clinician with a commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, supporting pre-doctoral and post-doctoral programs through supervision, lectures, and curricular participation.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from CODA-accredited institution.
• Documented teaching experience in clinical and/or didactic settings.
• DDS/DMD equivalent Foreign Dental Degree

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct students during clinical patient care and restorative procedures.
• Provide didactic lectures and seminars to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral dental students.
• Facilitate laboratory instruction and practical exercises in restorative dentistry.
• Participate in curriculum development and outcomes assessment.
• Mentor students and junior faculty.
• Support the Mobile Dental Unit and community outreach.
• Stay current with evidence-based dentistry and emerging technologies.
• Engage in scholarly activities and research opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
