Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates is seeking an experienced General Dentist for an urgent locum opportunity in Mason City, IA. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with an ASAP start and an assignment length of 3–12 months.

The dentist will provide comprehensive care for ages 5 through adult, handling approximately 16–18 patients per day, using EPIC Wisdom EMR, with complex cases referred out as appropriate.

Qualifications

• General dentistry skills including fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns and restorative care.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC Wisdom.

Responsibilities

• Perform fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns and general restorative procedures.
• Treat patients aged 5 through adult and manage complex cases with referral when needed.
• Utilize 3D printing for applicable cases and coordinate with the team to maintain high standards of care.

Job description

GENERAL DENTIST – LOCUM TENENS.

We are seeking an experienced General Dentist for an urgent locum opportunity. This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the potential for a longer-term assignment.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday–Friday.
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Start date: ASAP, approximately 1–2 weeks after credentialing.
• Assignment length: 3–12 months, with option to extend.
• Preference for a 6–12 month commitment.

POSITION DETAILS:

• General Dentistry.
• Approximately 16–18 patients per day.
• Must be comfortable treating patients ages 5 through adult.
• EPIC Wisdom EMR.
• Complex cases can be referred out as appropriate.

CLINICAL SERVICES:

• Fillings.
• Extractions.
• Root canals.
• Crowns.
• 3D printing.
• General restorative and comprehensive dental care.
• Complex cases will be referred out.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active dental license preferred due to the urgent need.
• Candidates must have no malpractice claims due to insurance enrollment requirements.
• Providers needing licensure may be considered if the licensing process can be expedited.
• Client has a contact with the dental board to assist with the licensing process if needed.
