About the Position

Growing private fee-for-service family dental practice is seeking a General Dentist to help support our growth and provide compassionate care to our loyal and growing patient base.

You will help spearhead practice expansion where we plan to expand into additional space we own by adding more operatories and delivery staff and from there establish additional offices regionally. For the right person, an ownership path is a real conversation we would revisit around 18 months in, not guaranteed but genuine.

At this time we deliver all General Dentistry (no ortho, no implant placement).

Current office has 6 treatment rooms with room to expand to 11, outfitted with up-to-date dental equipment.

More than anything, we are hiring the right person, not just the right resume. Three qualities matter most to us:

  • Compassionate. We put patients before profits, and we want a dentist who does the same. Someone who listens, takes the time to put anxious patients at ease, and treats every person in the chair the way they would want their own family treated. This is the heart of our practice, and it shows in our reviews.
  • Team-oriented. Our office works because everyone pitches in. We are looking for someone who jumps in to help, supports the people around them, and adds to the culture rather than just occupying a chair.
  • Ownership-minded. This is the big one for us. We want someone genuinely curious about how the practice operates, who wants to learn the business side and not just clock in and out. The ideal candidate thinks like a future owner rather than an employee, because for the right person, that is exactly where this path can lead.

This position is not for you if you:

  • Are mostly experienced in high volume DSO type practice
  • No experience in a Fee For Service practice
  • More concerned for your own compensation than quality patient care

Lubbock is an easy sell for the right person. It is a family-friendly West Texas community with strong schools, an established faith community, low traffic, and a cost of living that stretches a dentist's income much further than a bigger city would.

Because the salary line isn't the whole story. What makes a practice worth committing to is the people, the values, the way you get to practice, and the room to grow. Here's what sets us apart.

We genuinely care about our patients and about our people, and it is not marketing language. Our practice carries a 5-star rating across roughly 200 reviews, written by real patients who describe the owner as gentle, compassionate, and the first dentist they have ever felt comfortable with. That culture is the heart of who we are.

We are doctor-owned, not corporate, not a DSO. Clinical decisions are made chairside by the dentist treating the patient. No production quotas from a corporate office, no scripted treatment plans. Patients see their dentist, and our associate practices under their own name and their own judgment.

We are fee-for-service and out-of-network. Treatment is driven by what is right for the patient, not by what an insurance plan allows, and without the high-volume, low-margin insurance grind.

We are an established, busy practice, not a cold start. We are booked roughly six months out with strong demand and high patient satisfaction. You will step into real volume and build your own lasting patient relationships from day one.

We offer flexible scheduling. We currently see patients Monday through Thursday and will build your schedule around your life. A three or four day week suits someone who values work-life balance, and for a candidate who wants to maximize production, we will open Fridays for a full five-day schedule. Whether you are a parent of young children or simply want control over your week, we will make it work.

You will use modern clinical technology that makes your day easier, including digital scanning and integrated digital imaging, kept current and well-maintained.

Our compensation rewards your work directly: 30% of collections, with a guaranteed daily minimum of $950, so you are always paid the greater of the two. Paired with our flexible scheduling, a five-day associate has a clear path to strong income, while a three-day associate still has a solid guaranteed base.

Our benefits package includes paid malpractice insurance, fully paid local continuing education, a 401(k) with profit sharing, and a relocation allowance to help you make the move.

And then there is the Texas math. No state income tax and a Lubbock cost of living well below most metros mean a little higher salary in a high-tax, high-cost city often nets out lower in both take-home pay and quality of life than what you would earn and keep here.
