Job summary

ccigroupusa seeks a Senior Construction Estimator to lead full-cycle general construction estimating across commercial, manufacturing, light industrial, power & energy, and water infrastructure projects in Michigan and nearby states.

The role requires reviewing specs, forming scope, issuing subcontracts, coordinating with internal divisions, and managing subcontractor bids while developing schedules and ensuring accurate, complete proposals. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience in construction management, engineering or finance.
• Minimum 10 years of Estimator experience in construction.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Michigan and surrounding states, and to work off hours.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Develop and understand scope requirements and issue subcontracts for various trade partners.
• Coordinate with in-house self-perform divisions and manage subcontractor bid invitations.
• Read and comprehend technical documents such as specifications, scope of work, drawings and reports.
• Prepare project schedules from bid document information and ensure estimate accuracy and completeness.
• Price general conditions and manpower projections and write scopes of work during bidding and after award.
• Engage in subcontractor proposal review meetings and evaluate quotations.
