Job summary

Smith Builders Maui, a residential general contractor based in Kahului, Maui, is seeking General Construction Laborers to support our crews on luxury home projects.

Ideal candidates enjoy physical work, follow directions, and take pride in keeping job sites organized, safe, and productive; duties include setup, material handling, cleanup, and assisting carpenters and tradespeople throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to safely perform physical job duties in attics, crawlspaces, warm environments, and active construction settings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Dependable, punctual, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around construction tools, equipment, scaffolding, and jobsite materials are a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking General Construction Laborers to support our team on our construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, can follow directions, and takes pride in helping a crew stay organized, safe, and productive. You will assist with jobsite setup, material handling, cleanup, and general labor duties.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-Time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
• Employer-paid respirator fit test as part of onboarding.
• Health insurance eligibility in accordance with Hawaii state requirements for eligible employees.
