Responsibilities

• Check all foul patterns for the day's events ensuring no manned sites are in the exclusion areas without a Range Safety sign off.
• Ensure all personnel entering ranges follow safety, security, and environmental regulations per Naval Air Weapons Station SOPs.
• Coordinate with Test Conductors and Test Managers all testing areas, staffing needs and locations.
• Gather information on items or equipment used for testing to determine restricted zones for non-test personnel.
• Coordinate with road guard scheduler to ensure guards are in place and non-test personnel are kept out during testing.
• Coordinate with on-site safety target personnel ensuring all staff are cleared to a designated safe area during tests.
• Coordinate with Airspace Surveillance Control for air clearance when needed for testing or explosive detonation.

Saalex is seeking a General Clerk III in Ridgecrest, CA. Position Type: Part-Time

Salary: $21.45 hourly

Work Location: Onsite.

Essential Functions:

• Check all foul patterns for the day's events ensuring no manned sites are in the exclusion areas without a Range Safety sign off.
• Ensure all personnel entering ranges follow the safety, security, and environmental regulations set forth by the Naval Air Weapons Station standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with Test Conductors and Test Managers all testing areas, amount of personnel required and location of personnel during testing.
• Gather information on items, or equipment used for testing to ascertain the foul area or areas that will be restricted from non-test personnel.
• Coordinate with road guard scheduler to ensure road guards will be on time and in position to keep non-test personnel out of test area and evacuate non-test personnel before testing begins.
• Coordinate with on-site safety target personnel ensuring all test personnel are cleared to a designated safe area controlling movement during test.
• Coordinate with Airspace Surveillance Control when Aircraft Survivability, S.N.O.R.T., or Explosive Ordinance Detachment require air clearance for testing or detonation of explosives and restrict personnel into those areas when needed.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
