Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a reliable custodian for the Bartlett, IL facility. You will perform daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and shared spaces, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for students and staff.

This full-time, second-shift position requires prior custodial experience, knowledge of cleaning techniques, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Monday–Friday duties include floor care, trash removal, window cleaning, and responding to work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties and use cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all assigned areas.
• Dust and clean walls, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Wash interior/exterior windows and glass doors.
• Restroom cleaning and supply replenishment.
• Move, set up, and arrange furniture as needed.
• Complete work requests and communicate with management.
• Organize custodial closets and maintain safety protocols.

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.

Full time We are currently seeking a custodian to perform daily cleaning and custodial services across our educational facility. This includes cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces. The custodial duties will also include floor care, trash removal, and sanitizing high-touch areas. A successful candidate will have prior experience in custodial work and possess a strong knowledge of safe and efficient cleaning techniques and safety protocols. Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility is essential to the role. Job duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum.
• Dust and Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
• Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
• Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work.
• Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
• Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
