Job summary

HES Facilities Management in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a General Cleaner to maintain the daily cleanliness of assigned areas and support custodial operations under supervision. You will perform sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and light window care as part of a team.

This is a part-time, 1st-shift role with reliable transportation and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior cleaning experience is a plus; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is a plus.
• Excellent work history with a team-focused approach.
• Must pass a background check.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, extract carpets, and clean restrooms and lockers.
• Empty trash, recycle, wash windows, and assist with general upkeep.
• Follow custodial supervisor instructions and support the account manager.

General Cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned areas. General Cleaners perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility Essential Functions Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, extracting carpet, stripping and waxing floors, removing trash, recycling, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing outside area within 10 feet of entryways, washing windows, removal or snow and ice, cleaning of desks/walls/ furniture/ doors/ entry glass/ interior glass/counter tops/chalkboards/ whiteboards/blinds and light fixtures, and any other duties as directed by custodial supervisor or his/her designated representative.
