Job Description:
$14.00/hr

Part - Time, 2 shifts available:
Saturday and Sunday 7AM - 11AM
Monday through Friday 7AM - 11AM

SUMMARY:
This position will perform Custodian work. The Custodian will clean all areas of the facility by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Custodial Department.
• Perform routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, cafeterias, lounges, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings; move furniture, supplies and miscellaneous as directed.
• Collect both recyclable and non-recyclable waste and replace trash can liners.
• Telephones should be periodically cleaned using germicidal and cleaner disinfectants.
• Full vacuuming will be required in traffic areas and any visible debris on carpets.
• Clean light switches, doors and walls, tops of modular furniture and blinds.
• Clean and/or polish tables, benches and chairs.
• Remove cobwebs.
• Take trash to assigned areas.
• Secure Job Area with Safety Signs.
• Lock and unlock doors and windows to offices and other rooms as necessary. Turn off lights when rooms are unoccupied.
• Maintain confidentiality according to policy.
• Report safety hazards to the supervisor as appropriate.
• Follow Safety Procedures which include PPE and other Safety requirements based on the job.
• Follow all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.
• Perform work as directed.
• Do not leave cleaning carts unattended.
• Keep custodial closets locked at all times.
• Keeps hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment and tools.
• At the end of the shift, leave equipment clean and ready to use including cleaning materials.
