Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking a General Cleaner in Decatur, IL to maintain high cleanliness and safety across client facilities. You will perform routine cleaning tasks and help ensure a welcoming, professional environment.

The role requires reliable transportation, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility for two part-time shifts: 8:00 am–12:00 pm and 5:00 pm–9:00 pm, with pay of $16–$17 per hour. PTO and Daily Pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible hours including evenings; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean building areas: dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and restroom cleaning following health and safety rules.
• Stock and organize janitor supply rooms.
• Inform management of safety risks or needed repairs.
• Monitor building security and after-hours safety.
• Complete additional duties and trainings as assigned.

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean, including, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning, gathering and emptying trash bins in designated building areas following all health and safety regulations.
• Stock, organize, and maintain janitor supply rooms as needed.
• Inform management immediately of any potential safety risks or hazards and/or needed repair work.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Complete other duties and special trainings as assigned by the supervisor.
