Qualifications

• Curiosity, initiative, and genuine interest in local communities.
• Comfort with digital storytelling and audience-focused journalism.
• A willingness to spend significant time outside the newsroom building relationships and finding stories.

What You’ll Do

Help strengthen the local news report

• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and other newsroom teammates
• Contribute story ideas and bring energy to daily coverage planning
• Use digital tools, social media, and audience insights to better reach readers
• Comfortable creating video and social content, with a strong instinct for stories that will resonate on digital platforms.

The Beaumont Enterprise is a daily newspaper in Southeast Texas that most recently won 56 awards from the Press Club of Southeast Texas’ annual contest.
