Job summary

InMaricopa & InBuckeye are seeking curious, versatile journalists to tell stories of two growing Arizona communities through reporting, photography and digital storytelling.

You will report on local government, public safety, business, education, growth and development, and community events while expanding InMaricopa’s visual storytelling across platforms. A strong storyteller with independent work habits will thrive here.

Qualifications

  • Degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred.
  • Strong reporting, interviewing and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Photography experience required.
  • Experience shooting and editing video a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar content-creation tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

InMaricopa and InBuckeye are seeking curious, versatile journalists to help tell the stories of two of Arizona’s fastest-growing communities through reporting, photography and digital storytelling.



This position is ideal for an early-career reporter or experienced journalist who enjoys covering a wide range of topics and producing content across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will report on local government, public safety, business, education, growth and development, community events and feature stories while helping expand InMaricopa’s visual and digital storytelling.



We’re looking for someone who is excited about community journalism, comfortable working independently and eager to connect readers with the people, issues and events shaping Maricopa.



Responsibilities
