Job summary

Dartmouth Health’s Valley Regional Hospital seeks a General Anesthesiologist to provide adult and adolescent anesthesia in a community hospital setting in Sullivan County, NH. The role includes general and regional anesthesia, collaborative OR operations, and teaching opportunities through the Dartmouth Health connection.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont.
• Experience or interest in both academic and community practice settings.
• Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for adult and adolescent patients across a diverse community hospital population.
• Care for a broad range of surgical cases, with opportunities across specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and robotics.
• Provide both general and regional anesthesia, including regional blocks and other procedures.
• Support efficient, high-quality OR operations in a collaborative team environment.
• Develop strong working relationships with surgeons and anesthesia colleagues.
• Help ensure access to high-quality anesthesia and surgical care close to home.
• Participate in quality, safety, and practice improvement initiatives.
• Maintain opportunities for teaching and mentorship through the Dartmouth Health connection.
