Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist and/or General Gastroenterologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Senior Member rank in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology and Gastroenterology. The clinical academic will demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach to evaluation, management and treatment of cancer patients by working with a team of specialists to optimize patient care delivery.

Attendance and active participation in tumor boards is required.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Board certified (or eligible) in Gastroenterology.
• ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate gastroenterology patients, develop comprehensive treatment programs, place and refer patients to clinical trials.
• Attendance and active participation in tumor boards is required.
• Experience performing oncologic endoscopy is preferred.
• Collaborate with surgeons and gastroenterologists within the department to optimize patient care.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent, as determined by the Medical Executive Committee, from time to time) with certificates of special qualification in Gastroenterology.

Evaluate gastroenterology patients, develop comprehensive treatment programs, place and refer patients to clinical trials.

Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center.

As a Member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise.

Spanning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education, advances the Institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Endoscopist and/or General Gastroenterologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Senior Member rank in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology and Gastroenterology.

The Member will be a Clinical Academician who demonstrates an interdisciplinary approach to evaluation, management and treatment of cancer patients by working with a team of specialists to optimize patient care delivery.

Experience performing oncologic endoscopy is preferred.

The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology and Gastroenterology is comprised of six disease-site sub-specialties: Colorectal, Gastroesophageal, Hepatobiliary, Neuroendocrine, Pancreas and Peritoneal.

The Department includes Surgeons and Gastroenterologists, offering the unique ability to directly collaborate on targeted clinical care and research and academic pursuits.

The Department includes 18 physician faculty members as well as 12 Advanced Practice Providers.

Qualifications:

• MD or Equivalent
• Board certified (or eligible) in Gastroenterology
• Florida Medical License
• DEA License
• ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff

Salary Range $406,536.00 - $504,276.45

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
