Job summary

Ceco Door, an ASSA ABLOY brand, is seeking a General Accounting Manager for our Milan, Tennessee facility. This hands-on leadership role drives accounting integrity, strengthens internal controls, and partners with leadership to improve profitability and performance.

You will oversee GL, AP, payroll, revenue recognition, and month-end close while developing the finance team and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. Experience in manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required.
  • MBA, CMA, or CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum seven years of accounting experience including leadership.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred with multi-location exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct accounting and finance activities to align with business goals.
  • Oversee GL, AP, payroll, disbursements, revenue recognition and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze profitability, working capital, and financial performance to guide decisions.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and tax planning/compliance with leadership support.
  • Coach and develop the Finance team and strengthen internal controls.

This is an on-site role based out of our Milan, Tennessee manufacturing facility.Come see who we are at: https://www.assaabloy.com/group/en/about-us**What would you do as our General Accounting Manager?**You will organize, maintain, and direct accounting activities while providing timely and accurate financial information to help leadership make informed business decisions. As a hands-on leader, you will help ensure the financial integrity of the organization, strengthen internal controls, develop the Finance team, and support optimal levels of profitability, productivity, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.**You would also:*** Lead and evaluate the company’s accounting and finance activities, aligning priorities and key performance indicators with business goals* Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting* Analyze profitability, working capital, income, expenses, earnings, and financial performance* Lead the preparation of annual plans, budgets, forecasts, and tax planning and compliance activities* Provide leadership with timely financial analysis, technical guidance, and clear answers to business questions* Partner with department leaders to strengthen their understanding of financial matters affecting their areas* Identify root causes, improve accounting processes, and establish effective financial controls* Coach and develop Finance team members while supporting continued professional and personal growth* Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, applicable laws, company policies, and internal control requirements* Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment, holding yourself and others accountable to company standards* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned**The Skills & Experience you need:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related degree required.* MBA, CMA, or CPA designation preferred* Minimum of seven years of accounting experience, including at least two years as an Accounting Manager or in a comparable leadership role* Manufacturing industry experience required, preferably within a multi-location industrial products organization* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting principles* Experience with general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, disbursements, revenue recognition, invoicing, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations* Experience preparing profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting* Strong planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance experience* Previous supervisory experience and a hands-on management style* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, macros, filters, and template creation* Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications* Extensive ERP system knowledge; ERP implementation experience is preferred* Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance strategic analysis and transactional detail* Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions* Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills* High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to meet demanding deadlines while maintaining an excellent standard of work**What we offer!**We believe in creating opportunities and providing benefits that empower you to grow, thrive, and build a rewarding lifelong career with us.
