Generator Supercenter, Inc. is the nation’s leading provider of home standby generator systems. We are seeking a Generac generator Installation Technician to lead electrical operations, ensure quality, safety, and code compliance during installations.

The role requires licensure, strong AC/DC knowledge, ability to read diagrams, and leadership of an electrical team on site in Myrtle Beach. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Professional electrical experience; generator installation a plus.
• Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with conduit, panels, transfer switches, and backup power.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently; outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Register and maintain your electrical license with local jurisdictions.
• Review sold job folders to ensure electrical scope aligns with code.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace wiring issues during installs.
• Support load testing of generator systems and ensure compliance.
• Assist in project prep including trenching and conduit routing.
• Perform AC/DC wiring and read electrical diagrams precisely.
• Install panels, ATS units, wiring, conduit, and controls.
• Promote site safety and team collaboration.
• Train and mentor electrical technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Generac generator Installation Technician to lead electrical operations and ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of our installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Register and maintain your license with required local jurisdictions (municipalities, counties, townships, etc.)
• Review sold job folders and confirm all electrical scope aligns with code and Generator Supercenter standards
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and trace wiring issues during installation and service
• Support load testing of generator systems and ensure operational compliance
• Assist in project preparation, including trenching, conduit routing, and setting mechanical components
• Perform AC/DC wiring and read electrical diagrams and blueprints with precision
• Install electrical equipment and components including panels, ATS units, wiring, conduit, and controls
• Utilize electrical testing and measurement tools proficiently
• Promote job site safety, cleanliness, and team collaboration
• Support and train electrical technicians, as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Professional electrical experience (generator installation experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
• Proficient in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience working with conduit, electrical panels, transfer switches, and backup power systems
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various conditions
• Safety-minded and detail-oriented with a commitment to code compliance
