Job summary

Turing in San Francisco, CA is seeking experienced security engineers to evaluate static analysis tools for GenAI vulnerabilities. You will build runnable agent and RAG codebases with sensitive data disclosure and excessive agency scenarios, then trace, annotate, test, and explain findings to improve tooling.

Join a contractor engagement up to two weeks, with at least 4 hours daily and 4 hours overlap with Pacific Time. Competitive hourly pay up to $150, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security or security-focused software engineering.
• Experience with source-to-sink analysis, taint analysis, SAST, CodeQL or Semgrep.
• Hands‑on experience building LLM agents or RAG systems.
• Strong authorization knowledge across trust boundaries and access control.
• Production coding in Python and/or TypeScript; distinguish SID/EA findings.

Responsibilities

• Build runnable agent/RAG repos with vulnerabilities across tool calling, memory, and MCP.
• Create vulnerable, fixed, and hard-negative variants with subtle differences.
• Trace and annotate assets, data paths, controls, root causes, and risks.
• Define authorization contexts and write deterministic tests for findings.
• Recommend security controls and participate in calibration and peer review.
