Meta is seeking a Product Policy Manager to guide policy for GenAI products, advising product and engineering teams during launches. You will work with policy, product, legal, communications, design, and marketing to align policy with evolving AI regulation and industry trends.

The role demands strong policy, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills to balance free expression with business needs in a fast-paced GenAI environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, policy, law, comms, computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in policy, policy enforcement, law, government, national security, law enforcement, product design or related field.
• Experience working independently and cross-functionally to develop policies and apply analytical thinking to solving ambiguous, complex problems.
• Experience at intersection of AI policy and legislative/government affairs, drafting policy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide policy guidance that protects and promotes free expression in GenAI products/features, while minimizing business risks.
• Develop and implement forward-thinking policies to govern multi-modal GenAI products and features.
• Create clear risk assessments and scalable frameworks to operationalize mitigations across products.
• Work with engineers, designers, lawyers, product managers to address policy, legal, engineering, UI, business and marketing considerations.
• Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues.
