Job summary

Capgemini in Whippany, NJ seeks a GenAI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and scale enterprise AI solutions for financial services. You will build GenAI platforms, MCP integrations, RAG capabilities, and secure backend services for production use.

The ideal candidate has strong Python backend experience, experience with LLM workflows, and cloud-based deployments. You will collaborate with architects, governance teams, and business stakeholders to deliver compliant AI solutions from day one

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Strong hands-on Python backend development experience.
• Proven track record building GenAI applications and LLM workflows.
• Experience with MCP concepts (tools, resources, servers, clients).
• Experience with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search, grounding techniques.
• Experience developing APIs with FastAPI, REST, and async Python.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, and cloud deployment practices.
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications.
• Understanding of enterprise security, authentication, and secrets management.
• Experience in banking/financial services or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based GenAI services, agent workflows, MCP integrations, and reusable platform components.
• Build MCP servers, clients, tools, resources, prompts, schemas, and authorization frameworks.
• Develop agent orchestration workflows including tool calling, function calling, retrieval, and execution.
• Design and implement RAG pipelines with ingestion, embeddings, retrieval, ranking, and citations.
• Integrate internal and external data sources (financial data providers, SEC filings, enterprise repositories).
• Develop secure, production-grade APIs and backend services using Python, FastAPI, and async programming.
• Implement authentication, authorization, entitlement controls, logging, monitoring, testing, and model output validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, cloud engineers, and governance teams to deliver production AI solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
