Job summary

SMBC seeks a Staff AI/GenAI Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable GenAI platforms within the Platform Engineering team. You will partner with Azure, Databricks, and other infrastructure providers to deliver robust, enterprise-grade AI solutions.

You will own ML/LLM ops, implement RAG and complex GenAI workflows, and mentor engineering teams on cutting-edge GenAI techniques, in a high-stakes financial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/ML/DS or related field.
• 3+ years in developing GenAI/ML in production.
• Strong Python and GenAI frameworks experience.

Responsibilities

• Define AI Platform architecture with Databricks and Azure.
• Develop platform infra and REST/WS services for AI/LLM consumption.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps practices for lifecycle, observability, and security.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for AI/ML needs.
• Build GenAI workflows using LangGraph and related tools.
