Job summary

Point72 is seeking a NLP Engineer for its NLP research team in New York. You will develop modern NLP solutions, including LLMs, agents, RAG, and deployment of open-source models.

You will explore rich datasets, build GenAI capabilities with internal and external APIs, and benchmark approaches to improve alpha generation. A PhD or advanced degree is preferred; strong Python/SQL skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in NLP, particularly LLMs.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and software engineering (GitHub, testing).
• Data science stack familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Explore and combine internal and external textual datasets.
• Build GenAI solutions using internal models and external APIs.
• Formulate research hypotheses to derive alpha; post-train models for tasks.
• Benchmark LLM approaches on internal tasks.
