Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. is seeking a GenAI / iOS Engineer for an innovation team on a major pharmacy and healthcare project. This role blends AI model development with mobile app delivery, requiring hands-on experience in GenAI and iOS — not purely one or the other.

You will build AI features and iOS apps, prototype proofs of concept, and work with stakeholders to scale solutions across the organization. The position is remote in the United States with contractual W2 through ZipStaff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong GenAI and iOS expertise.
• Proficiency in iOS development with SwiftUI, UIKit and core frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, CircleCI, and modern mobile architectures.
• Hands-on with Claude, Python and GenAI tooling (HuggingFace, LangChain, OpenAI).
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Ability to build prototypes, PoCs and MVPs; comfortable in a fast-paced, matrix environment.

Job Title: GenAI / iOS Engineer
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking a GenAI / iOS Engineer for an innovation team at a major pharmacy and healthcare organization. You will build AI and iOS mobile applications, including prototypes the client wants to scale to mobile. This is not a pure iOS role and not a pure model-research role. Both skills are required.

What You’ll Do

• Build and develop models and GenAI features that improve understanding and recommendations.
• Create AI and iOS mobile applications, prototypes, proofs of concept, and MVPs.
• Develop mobile apps the team wants to scale.
• Use coding agents and participate in code reviews.
• Partner with groups across a large organization.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering with strong GenAI and strong iOS — equal parts, not one skill with a light touch of the other.
• iOS with SwiftUI, plus UIKit, Foundation, and core iOS frameworks.
• MVC and MVVM, iPhone accessibility, RESTful APIs, and CircleCI.
• Claude experience.
• Python and GenAI tooling such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or OpenAI API.
• Deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
• Agentic AI and coding-agent use.
• Able to build prototypes, PoCs, and MVPs.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card only. No sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Model Garden, Amazon Bedrock, or Nvidia NIM.
• Multi-modal data and agent-based tools.
