Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a motivated co-op student to contribute to client projects and gain hands-on experience in data analytics, AI and cloud technologies. The role emphasizes learning, mentorship and potential progression to the associate program based on performance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a quantitative degree, familiar with Python and SQL, able to work on-site in State College, PA, and available for up to 20 hours per week during classes with possible up to 40 hours during breaks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a quantitative degree in CS, stats, math, engineering, or related field with graduation date May 2026 or later.
• Strong collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic, agile environment.
• Initiative to acquire new knowledge and growth mindset.
• Willingness to communicate effectively and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Aid in client projects during the co-op to build a compelling portfolio.
• Support generation of insights through analytical methods and ML concepts.
• Assist in data cleansing, integration, and modeling tasks.
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
