Job summary

Google's Staff Software Engineer, Gen AI, Blackbelt Team is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and New York, NY, with opportunity to select preferred locations. This role focuses on advanced Generative AI, ML infrastructure, and AI product delivery across Google Cloud.

You will lead ML design, architecture decisions, and collaboration with Product Development and Technical Sales to help customers design architectures, build AI-powered applications, and solve complex technical challenges at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or GenAI concepts.
• 2 years of experience as a Technical Solution Architect in a cloud computing environment, or in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer objections, and develop strategies to resolve blockers.
• Provide AI expertise to support relationships with customers, manage product/solution briefings, demos, PoCs, and prioritize solutions with product management.
• Recommend integration strategies and architectures for complete Google Cloud solutions.
• Support developers and enterprises to leverage Google’s Generative Language APIs for AI products.
• Travel to customer sites and events as needed.
