Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) to design and deliver enterprise AI-powered applications. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and implement scalable AI solutions across teams.

The role emphasizes agentic AI, LLMs, and modern web technologies with a strong focus on governance, observability, and production deployment. Remote work in the United States is available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven production AI/LLM solutions including agentic AI or RAG platforms.
• Deep knowledge of generative AI tech, prompts, vectors, and orchestration patterns.
• Hands-on with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI applications using LLMs and RAG.
• Design Agentic AI solutions supporting complex reasoning and memory management.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration using Temporal or similar tech.
• Define AI platform architectures for routing, prompts, observability, and deployment.
• Establish evaluation frameworks with offline testing and business outcome measurement.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment and support.
• Drive engineering best practices for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineering teams and foster innovation and technical excellence.
