Gemstar Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for the 1st shift at our Cannon Falls, MN facility. You will operate hand tools and manufacturing machinery, including 5- and 3-axis routers, and perform assembly, finishing, and quality checks to meet customer specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, ISO procedures, and a team-oriented, people-first culture. Overtime may be scheduled; standard hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday, on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• English reading skills at the 6th grade level or above.
• Preferred manufacturing experience.

Responsabilités

• Operate 5- and 3-axis routers, cutting, drilling, and finishing products.
• Load and unload forming machines; handle molds and parts with care.
• Set up and operate routers; may assist in programming.
• Inspect parts against blueprints; verify conformance to specs.
• Perform finishing work: drilling, routing, cutting, assembling, sanding, and gluing.
• Maintain equipment and area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.

Gemstar is looking for a Manufacturing Specialist to join the team at our location in Cannon Falls, MN! The position is responsible for performing various assigned tasks requiring the ability to operate hand tools, manufacturing machinery and 5 and 3 axis routers. Performs secondary and finishing operations throughout plant. Perform CRD/Ext/Assembly functions while meeting all quality and inspection criteria. Wage Range: USD $19.55 - $25.64 per Hour
Location: Cannon Falls, MN
Type: Full Time – On-site
Schedule: 5/8hour days 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
- Overtime is scheduled as needed.

A day in the life of a Manufacturing Specialist at Gemstar includes:

• Reviews work orders to determine which task needs to be performed.
• Cuts sheet stock and blanks to correct size as indicated by prints.
• Loads and unloads forming machines, being careful not to damage molds and parts.
• Sets up and operates 5 and 3 axis routers, cutting, drilling, and finishing products as required, and may assist in programming the router.
• Makes adjustments to the routing processes and inspects and compares initial products with blueprints to ensure product compliance with specifications.
• Reads blueprints to ensure that products are produced in accordance with company standards of quality and customer expectations.
• Completes necessary work to finish a part for shipment, including drilling, routing, cutting, assembling, sanding and gluing.
• Scrapes and sands rough edges from parts, ensuring that parts are clean and free from scratches and foreign material.
• Performs general maintenance on department equipment such as oiling, greasing and cleaning.
• May operate Robomold equipment as needed to support business needs.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and always follows approved safety procedures.
• Aware of and complies with ISO standards and Gemstar’s quality management system.
• Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
• Always maintains department in a neat and orderly manner.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• English reading skills at the 6 th grade level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
