Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Technical Lead for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and deliver scalable cloud solutions. You will lead engineering teams, mentor developers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality software across the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on GCP expertise, architectural judgment, and driving Agile practices, CI/CD, and modernization initiatives. Hybrid work requires up to 3 days a week in Parsippany, NJ; visa sponsorship is not

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in software development and technology solutions delivery.
Prior experience in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or similar leadership role.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native application development.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
Knowledge of software development best practices and modern engineering methodologies.
Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout project execution.
Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, architecture standards, and CI/CD automation.
Design secure, highly available, and resilient enterprise applications.
Support cloud transformation, modernization, and application migration initiatives.
Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Promote Agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Contribute to solution architecture, technical roadmaps, and strategic technology decisions.
