Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to architect cloud-native applications and data platforms that align with business goals and technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement end-to-end cloud architecture solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Provide strategic cloud architecture guidance to cross-functional teams across infrastructure, application development, and data engineering.

Lead cloud migration initiatives, including application modernization and re-platforming.

Ensure best practices in security, performance, cost optimization, and compliance for all GCP deployments.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering and development teams on cloud-native practices and tools.

Evaluate new GCP services and technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Prepare architecture diagrams, documentation, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications:

12+ years of experience in IT with 5+ years of hands-on GCP cloud architecture experience.

Expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL/Spanner, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.

Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and automation.

Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, Java, or Bash).

Familiarity with security best practices and governance in cloud environments.

Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, and access management.

Preferred Qualifications:

GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification is strongly preferred.

Prior experience in cloud migration and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

Experience with data platforms and analytics solutions on GCP is a plus.

Exposure to other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is a bonus.
